How many people feel like their year is always on fast forward? The New Year rolls around, and we are like “What the heck happened to 365 days, 52 weeks, and the 12 months of last year?!” Remember those old cassette tapes that you could rewind or fast forward. Don’t you wish you could rewind your time too?
What I Accomplished in 2017
Instead of making resolutions for 2018, I decided I would like to see what I accomplished over the year:
- My paper was presented at two conferences.
- I published a scholarly article in a journal.
- One book was accomplished last year.
- Another book is still in the works.
My blogging was less, but I guess my year was not too bad. There is always room for improvement, so let’s make 2018 a great year.
Carving Your Path
As Doctors, Dr. Bessie and I know how important it is for us to keep putting ourselves out there.
You always must keep moving forward with projects like blogging, researching, publishing, networking, or whatever you choose. You are personally responsible for carving out your path.
Be A Doer
Do not expect anyone to tell you what to projects to pursue, research collaborations to explore, conferences to attend, or what jobs to take.
Be a doer this year, and next year your list of accomplishments will be bigger.
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
